Raw Pet Food

UK Pet Food has lots more information on raw pet food and raw feeding.  In addition to background information and a factsheet on responsible raw feeding, its raw pet food certification scheme is now up and running.  Developed by independent certification scheme experts, KIWA, the standard provides another tool to support the safe production of commercial raw pet food.

UK Pet Food has also published sector guidelines for the manufacture of commercial raw pet food.  The guidelines, which promote best practice in the sector have been developed in conjunction with Defra, the Animal Health & Protection Agency (APHA), the Health & Protection Agency (HPA) and the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
