New Educational Fact Sheets Launched to Help Pet Owners and Professionals Make Informed Nutrition Choices — Part of the ‘Love Them Madly, Feed Them Wisely’ Campaign
As part of its commitment to supporting informed pet nutrition choices, UK Pet Food is proud to launch a series of new educational fact sheets designed to help pet owners and pet care professionals better understand pet food, nutrition, and safety.
The fact sheets are a key component of the ongoing ‘Love Them Madly, Feed Them Wisely’ campaign, encouraging responsible, informed feeding practices by providing clear, accessible information.
The new resources cover a range of essential topics:
- Choosing a Trustworthy Brand – Guidance on what to look for in a reputable pet food company, including transparency, nutritional standards, and responsible sourcing.
- Cell-Cultivated Products in Pet Food – An introduction to this emerging technology, what it means for the future of pet nutrition, and how it fits into broader trends in sustainability.
- Pet Food Safety – Key facts about how pet food is regulated, manufactured, and tested to ensure it is safe for pets to eat.
- What are Animal By-Products? – A clear explanation of what by-products are, how they are used in pet food, and why they can be a nutritious, sustainable choice.
“These fact sheets are designed to cut through the noise that can sometimes make pet food choices difficult,” said Nicole Paley, Deputy CEO at UK Pet Food.
“People love their pets and want to feed them well—but the information out there can be overwhelming. Our goal is to empower owners and professionals with trusted, science-based knowledge so they can make the best decisions for the pets in their care.”
The factsheets are freely available to download from www.ukpetfood.org. They are part of a broader push to build public awareness around the importance of good pet nutrition, the role of innovation in the sector, and how to navigate complex food labels and marketing claims.
